How we are dealing with the Corona Virus Pandemic.
We are still holding the ride as we do every year in memory of those we have lost. This year’s activities, however, will be different due to the pandemic. While we encourage the safety of all, we also know that people are passionate about the Honor Ride and will want to get out and ride anyway. We hope you will consider supporting this year’s ride and our mission to Honor, Educate, and Heal, by signing up for the ride for the region you’re closest to and donating your registration fee even if you don’t feel comfortable participating.
Once you sign up, you will be able to contact the Regional Coordinator who can give you specific details about how their region will be approaching the ride while addressing concerns due to the coronavirus and implementing necessary safety procedures.
If you choose to ride, you will leave from your location from home or your ride leader’s designation, and ride to The Highground. Registration includes a Patch or Rocker for both you and your passenger (if you have one). These items will be available for you at the Park at a designated table. We do ask that you observe the social distancing guidelines by staying 6 feet apart from others. Hand sanitizer will be available.
There will be no ceremony this year, however, the names of the fallen who were killed or missing in action will be read over loudspeakers from 8am to 5pm to honor their memory. We encourage you to walk the grounds and visit the tributes. While we know these times are tough, we also know that the sacrifices these brave men and women have made need to be honored, recognized, and reflected upon so they will never be forgotten.
About The Ride
The Honor ride was started in 2010 as a way to pay tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Memorial Day is a day to remember those who were lost, and this ride is dedicated to that mission to carry on the legacy.
Pre-Registration is available online, and you can also purchase your shirt with our quick and easy system.
The Memorial Wall
Starting in 2019 the ride will honor memorials to Veterans and KIA/MIA with their name on the front of the shirt, the names, and images will stay on our virtual memorial wall as a tribute. Find out all the details on how you can add someone now!
Starting in 2019 the names of those we wish to memorialize will be integrated into the shirt design. This space will be for veterans and KIA/MIA that have passed that we wish to thank and honor
